- Abstract: This work aims to reflect on the gender mark in Spanish and the changes that are occurring in that process. In this sense, we analyze in particular the recent changes in gender observed when the reference is a group composed of people of male and female biological sex (todos los trabajadores del país), as well as the process of feminization (juez/jueza) and the process of communication of names previously codified only as masculine (el soldado/la soldado). We seek to collect and discuss different positions about gender marking, researching not only grammars (RAE and ASALE, 2009, 2010) and style manuals (MANUAL style El País, 2014, MANUAL Clarín style, 1997), but in studies of other areas of knowledge, including authors such as Bosque (2012), García Meseguer (2001), Acosta Matos (2016) y Andrés Castellanos (2000) who already study gender and sexism in the Spanish language
